DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Talkaoke – a live television-style talk show by The People Speak taking place on Thessaly Road and online. The event is part of the Happy Streets Festival – a free one-day festival for all the family including live music\, circus\, crafts and activities\, pizza-making and outdoor live performances.\nWe welcome residents to join us at a round table of chat where\, in a socially distanced and relaxed atmosphere\, we will get a chance to reconnect.In Autumn we will see the launch of the Northern Line extension\, which will be celebrated with a festival. We would love to hear your thoughts on what are the hot subjects in the neighbourhood and what would you like to see happening during the festival. \n \nHow does Talkaoke work?\nIt’s simple: the Talkaoke host sits in the middle of a round table and you\, the participants\, sit at small tables close by. Each table has a mic and you are invited to talk about anything they like. Each discussion is a journey from one unexpected subject to another: it can be topical\, funny\, deep\, surreal\, and everything in between. The conversation will be visualised live by a digital illustrator! Talkaoke will take place in a socially distanced environment. We ask participants to wear face masks\, stay in their bubbles and use hand gels provided in line with the safety procedures.
