We would particularly like to invite artists and creative people of all kinds\, at the start of their careers as well as further on\, who might be developing ideas aligned with the WHM themes. The network is co-ordinated by Alternative Arts who also run Women’s History Month in East London. The aim to raise the profile of women\, share ideas\, explore current issues and build a strong network as a supportive resource\, providing inspiration for creating a more equal society.\nRich Mix is a venue in East London\, where the communities of the world create\, enjoy and share culture. Open since 2006\, Rich Mix is  a charity that connects some of the city’s most adventurous and diverse audiences to a vital\, exciting and ambitious programme of contemporary culture.\n\nThe People Speak is an art group based in East London\, with 25 year expertise in getting people to understand each other. We use performance art and multi-media to create fun and interactive environments\, pushing the boundaries of what a conversation can lead to. We also train people in creative facilitation skills and event production.\n\n\n\n\nHow does Talkaoke work?\n\nIt’s simple: the Talkaoke host sits in the middle of a round table and you\, the participants\, sit at small tables close by. Each table has a mic and you are invited to talk about anything they like. Each discussion is a journey from one unexpected subject to another: it can be topical\, funny\, deep\, surreal\, and everything in between. The conversation will be visualised live by a digital illustrator!
