In a huge converted Railway Station in Manchester Town Centre, now called the G-Mex, was Talkaoke taking part in ‘Exciting Minds’, in association with Creative Partnership. In an event that was mainly organised for young people and teachers/tutors alike we were slightly disappointed with the turn out. But this didn’t mean that the chat suffered, far from it.
In the first part of two, we talk to people who have set up stalls and the youth to see what they think and what idea’s they have. We also find we are not short of Manchester United fans around the table.
In the second part, the conversation carries on in much the same way as the first but as the event draws to a close the atmosphere become much more light hearted. ‘What is the best way to help the youth be more creative’ and ‘does creativity stop when you get older’ were some of the main points of this session.
